The Onque Casuals® story begins with our founder, Jane Smith. As a busy working mom, Jane struggled to find clothes that were both comfortable and cute. She wanted options that were made from soft, breathable fabrics and looked fashionable without sacrificing comfort. After years of searching unsuccessfully, Jane decided to create the stylish, laidback clothing line of her dreams.
The first Onque Casuals® collection debuted in 1995 featuring relaxed-fit pants, flowy tops, and lightweight jackets made from supersoft fabrics like jersey, velour, and stretch poplin. The response was immediate. Women loved having chic yet casual pieces that made getting dressed easy and felt amazing to wear all day long.
We attribute much of our early success to word-of-mouth. Once someone tried our buttery soft joggers or our drapey tunic sweaters, they couldn’t help telling all their friends about us! Our fan base grew rapidly.
Over the years, Onque Casuals® has expanded our selection to include even more categories like dresses, outerwear, and accessories while maintaining our core focus on laidback comfort. We now offer stylish casual clothing for men too.
